Prize distribution ceremony of
Website/Cell Phone Based Malaysian Palm Oil Weekly Quiz Competition
for the April-July period was held on Aug 06, 2009 at Dhaka Sheraton
Hotel. The year-long quiz competition started in January and would
continue till December of this year. The competition created huge
response among the younger generation of the country and during
Jan-July period over 300,000 participants participated in the
competition. During the period total 33 winners have been awarded.
Malaysian High Commissioner in
Bangladesh H.E. Jamaluddin Sabeh was the Chief Guest of the prize
distribution ceremony while Managing Director of Sime Darby
Plantation Sdn. Bhd., Malaysia and councilor of Malaysian Palm Oil
Council, Malaysia Dato’ Azhar Abdul Hamid and Board Member of Sime
Darby Plantation Sdn. Bhd., Malaysia Dato’ Henry Barlow were the two
Special Guests. Besides, MPOC Regional Manager for Bangladesh, Nepal
and Myanmar market A.K.M. Fakhrul Alam and many other dignitaries
attended the function.
